The Notifications feature in Hevy Coach enables coaches and personal trainers to stay updated on their clients' activities and important events within the platform.

Notifications are customizable, allowing coaches to receive alerts via push web notifications and email for various client interactions and upcoming program completions. This document outlines the functionality of the notification feature and how coaches can manage their notification preferences.

Types of Notifications

1. Web Push Notifications:

- Receive a message: Get notified when you receive a message from a client.

- Client logs measurements: Receive notifications when a client logs their measurements.

- Client logs a workout: Get alerted when a client logs a workout session.


Web push notifications will function on desktop browsers such as Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Safari, and Mozilla Firefox. They will also work on browsers on Android devices. However, they won't work on iPhones.

Please note that if you access Hevy Coach from multiple browsers, you will need to set up web push notifications in each of them separately.

2. Email Notifications:

- Receive a message: Receive emails for messages sent by clients.

- Client logs measurements: Get email notifications when clients log their measurements.

- Client logs a workout: Receive email notifications when clients log their workout sessions.

- Programs finishing next week: Receive an email reminder about programs that are finishing in the upcoming week.

Managing Notification Preferences

Coaches have the flexibility to customize their notification preferences according to their preferences and workload. Here's how you can manage your notification settings:

1. Toggle Notifications On or Off:

- Coaches can toggle notifications on or off based on their preferences. This allows for flexibility in managing incoming alerts.

2. Select Users for Notifications:

- Coaches can choose from which users they wish to receive notifications. This enables coaches to focus on specific clients or groups of clients.

How to Manage Notification Preferences

To manage your notification preferences, follow these steps:

  1. Login to Hevy Coach: Visit the Hevy Coach platform and log in using your credentials.

  2. Access Notification Settings: Navigate to your account settings section -> Notifications.

  3. Manage Notification Preferences: Toggle notifications on or off for each type of notification (push web notifications and email). Select specific users from whom you wish to receive notifications.
